I used to use 1.2mm galvanised tying wire for my permanent paddocks and I liked it. Now it seams I can only get 1.6mm which is just that bit more hard to work.
I can get 1.2mm in 20m rolls online but I think it used to be around 180m -200m. Anyone know where it can be purchased.

Local Co ops and hardwares in cavan and monaghan had all types a few months ago anyway. Your bound to come across it locally.

Went to my local Aurivo co op to purchase fence wire ....could not believe when i saw the labels on coils ?? Nothing about the length of wire in each roll but it did give the weight !!! 2.5 kg 5 kg etc Totally useless information. Why could they not just say 100Metres 250Metres etc

Not seen that before. Usually in lengths. Like buying nails. A frustrating experience.

All coils are the same here with the weight.

Yea goes by weight but store persons usually have a good idea of length.
