Record Sky Arts on Freesat

    Anytime I try to record something on Sky Arts it will not play.
    Is there a way around this or is it encrypted?

    Dunno about Freesat, but I recorded a clip just now and had no problem playing it back, using FTA receiver.

    I just recorded and watched Sky Arts on a Humax HB-1100s Freesat box with an external hard drive attached no problem.

    Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

    I think sky arts hd is encrypted but not sky arts. If it plays live on your Freesat receiver then it is not encrypted

    I just went through the channels on the Humax box and the only listing is Sky arts SD, no HD listing on it.

    Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

    As above SA is SD on Freesat 147 and should record without problem.

    As with others no bother recording and viewing SA on fta on an external HDD, are your other recordings working OK.

    Yes.
    They are recording fine.
    Am having a problem now deleting old programmes.
    Cannot get rid of them.
    Expect something to pop soon, it's a 10 year old machine, so owes nothing
