    Hi,

I have an IKEA tv unit that sits on a wooden plinth made of 5 lengths of timber (pine). I’m looking to get approx 1” trimmed off the bottom of the plinth as accurately and cleanly as possible. Would anyone know of any companies around the Dublin/Leinster area providing any such service?

If you take an inch off along the bottom, how much room will be left for the bottom faster.
Its a simple enough job, just take it all to bits, remove all the metal hardware
Clearly mark how much you want cut off and where from
when marking best do it so as the line gets left

and bring it to a wood working place and they will slice it off on the table saw in no time.
Better if they have a scoring blade on the saw to reduce tear-out on the white surfaces.

I’ll replace the bottom fastener with a small 90° bracket

Thanks for the info. Any recommendations on woodworkers?

They have a cutting service but don't know if they do stuff you bring in.

I gave them a bell but as you rightly say they only cut their own material. Managed to get it done locally though
