    Hi,
I have an 85" TV i'd like to hang above my fireplace.
What sort of fixings should I use?

Maybe these with red plugs ?

Red plugs are for thinner screws, like 4s or 5s, these bolts are

    1) absolutely huge (m16)
    2) Are not designed for being mounted into a wall, they are for working with something threaded (like a nut)

Any time I bought a TV stand they have always come with the required mounting accessories. They usually comes with plugs similar to red plugs but much larger and coach bolt style bolts similar to this: https://www.screwfix.ie/p/easydrive-coach-screws-a2-stainless-steel-10-x-70mm-10-pack/9147t

(Not an expert: but have hung a few TVs off walls)

Get the weight of the TV & then buy a mounting bracket that suits. VESA compatible usually do the trick. Few different bracket types depending if you need to adjust the viewing angle.
They will all come with the fittings needed to hang on the wall.

I've seen good offers on adverts for mounting brackets & used some of them.

What are your walls made from?

Consider fixing wooden board 24”x24” to wall your mounting it onto. Use the long door fastening to get a grip to block work behind.

Then attach your bracket to the board.

    Assuming it’s a drywall etc

One thing with with wall mounting is that hiding the cables is annoying
