XC90 T8 charge cables

    I recently bought a 1 year old Volvo XC90 T8. Great car and although the electric range isn’t great it actually suits me as I can drive 20km as a EV into work charge up and drive home.

    The car has a type 2 cable charge cable but no 3 pin charging option. When I asked Volvo to buy a 3 pin cable they said it wasn’t possible to order one.

    So does anyone know why? Is charging by 3 pin bad for the battery?

    No, it's fine.

    Most likely Volvo just don't have a Volvo branded one. Go to screwfix and get one for a few hundred.
