    Hi looking for help i got a error on my scan from dell my hard drive is about to fail
    sk hynix sc308 sata 256gb my laptop is a inspiron 15 gaming 7567 can anyone tell me where i can i get a replacement must it be the exact item sc308 or can i put another type in there had a look on ebay came away confused ty noel ps hope this is the right place to post

    It does not have to be the exact same make but equivalent model is all that is need

    You can use Crucial web site to pick an compatible replacement for the SSD , and will help reduce the chances of picking the wrong type.

    Your don't have buy the most expensive one either and you can also increase the drive capacity above the 256GB you have 500+ will all work also

    I am sure others here can point to other alternates but that would be a save enough place to start.

    1. Make sure its the SSD and not the HDD thats failing, that machine seems to have been offered with an SSD+HDD combo.

    2. The SSD is M.2 SATA which is fine, just dont buy a M.2 NVME. Also it has to be full length for that chassis mounting system.

    This is a decent option.

    Edit: Looks like its a combi port so either may actually work.
