Just wondering which of the above van guys here would go for ? Looking at the 2015-2017 models for both vans

Reliability and spending as little as possible on repairs/maintenance is what I'm looking for. I'm not too concerned about small differences in fuel consumption between them.

Aging is another consideration, if I'm happy with a vehicle I tend to hold on to it. Have had my Hiace for 14 years.

Another question, I noticed with a T6 I looked at that somebody could easily be locked inside. Once the van is locked with the remote none of the doors would open from the inside. Is this usual or is there a workaround or something I was missing (the owner didn't know either) ? The Hiace is all manual so no problems getting out.

The Proace is a rebadged Peugeot, not that that’s necessarily a bad thing, but maybe open up to other vans, especially the Peugeot, Opel and Citroen badged versions of the same van which may be cheaper to buy than the Toyota version.

Personally I’d have the T6 even though it’s quite an old design st this stage. It has way more aftermarket support and parts, it will be easier to sell on.

There’s very little between them for reliability I’d say, and both of them will be better on diesel than your Hiace.
