Gerry's Scam.

Gerry 'the Pox' had a tale to tell about his winning bet that he had not been paid out on. Gerry had placed a Six team €100 accumulator on last month's football matches and Five of them had won but Portugal only drew against Serbia even though Ronaldo had scored in the dying minutes, the goal had been disallowed. VAR clearly showed the ball over the line but the ref had disallowed it and the SpoilSports bookie would not pay out his 2K winnings. Gerry wanted revenge over the bookie and he told everyone his problem hoping that someone somewhere would have an answer. Gerry also told Alfred his wealthy Twin brother of his seemingly winning bet and Alfred said that he would have a think about it.

Alfred a stockbroker himself tells Gerry the next time he sees him about his losing/winning soccer bet that he had not been paid out on, that his best option was to ring his bank and do a 'Chargeback' stating that it was a 'Gambling debt' and at least then he would get his stake money back. Gerry was a bit dubious about it, but he did ring his bank a few days later to request a chargeback stating that it was a Gambling debt and the bank receptionist said; "No problem, we can do that straight away and the funds will be back in your account in Three working days". Then Gerry had a quick think and said; "No, don't do it, I changed my mind, let it go through". Gerry within a half-second had formulated a plan in his mind, and he had his not much liked wealthy Twin brother Alfred to help him out with it. If he had let the original chargeback go through, then he guessed that his online account would be blocked by the bookie that he so dearly sought revenge on and probably passed on to all the other bookies in the 'Bookmakers Secret Service' fold.

Gerry fer all his many faults had a devious mind and had been a gambling addict since he was about 15 years old nearly 20 years ago now and he had a half decent insight in to how the online gambling game worked. What had shocked him and started off his devious plan/scam was how easily the bank were going to do a chargeback for him.
'Stealth' he thought, 'Stealth' and 'Discipline' were what he needed to get it to work and a half decent wedge from his brother Alfred to get the 'Show on the road'. The intended Scam consumed Gerry fer the next few days and he googled everything he could on bank chargebacks, the laws on gambling and reading through the T's & C's of multiple bookie sites. His plan seemed sound the only rule that he could find that might scupper his plan was that a bank chargeback had to be done within 3 months, which was hardly a big ask.

The next time Alfred called to see him, Gerry sat into his brothers car and he explained the Scam he had hatched to his brother, Alfred who himself was a major stockbroker was impressed with the plan most especially because it was actually legal, not that he cared that much because his name was never going to be linked in any way to the Scam.
Gerry 'chanced his arm' and asked him if was willing to come on board and finance the Scam on a 25/75% profit ratio ?
Alfred sez; "No, but make it 50/50, and I'll stump up 5 Large, at a Grand a time ?",
A delighted Gerry agrees and tells him that he needs 2K to get it started,
Alfred takes a Grand in cash from his inside coat pocket and sez; "Here's a Grand, make it work and I 'll give you another One".
Gerry is disappointed with the measly Grand but he decides to work on with it, in the knowledge that more dosh will follow, and at the end of his plan/scam if it works then only he himself will know exactly how much he has made and he had every intention of stitching up his already wealthy Twin brother, but just like Alfred, Gerry does not want his name linked to the Scam in any way.

First order of business fer Gerry was to find himself a 'Patsy' someoneother than himself, someone with a half decent record and no interest in the gambling game, he immediately thought of his mate Tommy 'No Balls' who was fresh out of prison. He called to Tommy's home and managed to coerce Tommy in to opening a brand-new bank account in his own name and offering him a €100 start up fee and another €100 a week fer the next 2 weeks after, and €50 a week fer the next 9 weeks after that, and a €250 sign off bonus when he closed his bank account after the 12 weeks, provided he stuck to the rules. Tommy agreed in principle.
Then Gerry explained the rules in full to him, "Firstly you open the bank account in your own name but you put the initial of your second name on the bank account, as in you open it as 'Thomas B Coleman' and any mail that comes through your letterbox marked as 'Thomas B Coleman' then you ring me and I will collect it and it must be UNOPENED. I also need a photo of a utility bill of yours and a photo of your drivers license or passport, and that's about it until we finish it up in 3 months time". Tommy agreed. Gerry told him to get all his I.D. bits together and walked with him to the bank. Gerry waited outside as Tommy did exactly as instructed in the bank and Gerry paid him the start-up fee of €100 in cash and warned him to keep his gob shut.

Next up fer Gerry was to get a new untraceable smartphone, Tesco's was his man fer that he thought, and the new phone and SIM with a new number and I.P. address was his fer about 70 notes.
Tommy rings him a few days later on his original phone to say; "Dere's a letter here fer ya, I think it's the bank card, feels like it anyway".
Gerry sez to him; "I'll be over later to collect it, do Not open it !".
Tommy is having second thoughts, but Gerry calls to collect the letter later on and pays Tommy his next €100 weekly update which eases Tommy's mind a tad.
Gerry runs all the way home with his letter, he opens it, YES ! It's his new bank debit card, 'Thomas B Coleman', he kissed it !
And then he opened a new online bank account with his new Tommy alias on his new smartphone so as to see all his transactions online.

Gerry had managed to pay fer the new smartphone from his own pocket but the 200 notes he had paid Tommy came from the Grand wedge that his brother Alfred had given him, so all he had to lodge into the new bank account was €800. He did this in person in the bank with the new card and it showed up on his online bank account straight away.
Next up he opened Two online bookie accounts using his new smartphone and new bank account card using Tommy's real home address and an unsuspicious dummy email called [email protected]
One of the bookies was Paddy Puker whom he had disliked fer many years, the other was SpoilSports who in his mind had robbed him of 2K on his recent football bet. Both of the accounts opened swiftly even offering a few Free bet start up bonuses. Gerry lodged €400 into each account, but it was only Tuesday and Gerry needed it to be a Wednesday or a Saturday to start his plan.

Gerry did not sleep well on Tuesday night, the Scam had consumed him totally and his every thought was on the Scam. He had his start up Scam routine all planned out if he had 2K, but he didn't have 2K, all he had was €800.
The original plan was to have a Grand on the Lotto First number drawn to be Odd @ 5/6 with One bookie.
And then have another Grand on the First number to be Even with the second bookie also @ 5/6 and taking a loss of €133.33 regardless of what number was drawn First, the idea being to show himself as a 'Mug punter' to both of the bookies.

But he didn't have 2K, all he had was €800 and he was thinking to himself all night long, 'Do I go **** or Bust on this ? Have the lot on 'Odd' and if it loses go begging to Alfred fer more funds ? If I do that he will want more details of the Scam, but if I can get the First bet home and show a profit, then it's 'Easy street' from there on'..... he thought .... Another thought was to play it safe and have the €400 on each of Odd and Even, which would most definitely show a First day loss which he reckoned Alfred would not be very impressed with.

Early on Wednesday morning the Light bulb eventually switched on in Gerry's head, sure fer Fook sake we are getting the stake money back in chargebacks anyway, so why bother gambling ? Regardless of what number was drawn First he would be getting a pay-out of €733.33 and doing chargebacks at a later date on both of the stake monies. Gerry placed his Two €400 online bets, both bookies came back with the same reply; "€100 of your initial bet has been accepted, but our Team Leader will get back to you shortly to confirm the remainder of your bet".
Ten minutes later the respective 'Team Leaders' accepted all of Gerry's bets, and Gerry drifted off into a long well deserved sleep thinking to himself that when this Scam is over then I will never ever bet again.

Alfred called to him the next morning and Gerry sits into his car, Alfred asking; "How we getting on ?", Gerry yawns while telling him; "We won €733.33 last night on the Lotto, but the original 800 bucks is tied up fer 3 months, I need another Grand today to start working properly". Alfred having a very rare bit of faith in his twin brother but smelling money at the same time hands Gerry another Grand in cash.
Gerry goes to the bank later in the day and lodges the Grand cash into his new 'Thomas B Coleman' account, then checks his Two bookie accounts, he had lost €400 to SpoilSports, but had €733.33 in his Paddy Puker account, he withdrew the €733.33 in to his new Tommy bank account and with the other Grand lodged and his new reputation started with the bookies he reckoned the time to go to war was soon, but he must be disciplined and patient, he must wait till next Saturday night to play Lotto again to establish his 'Mug' identity.

It's Saturday afternoon and Gerry has €1733.33 in his new Tommy bank account, he lodges €800 in to each of his new bookie accounts and does his usual bets, this time uping his stake to €800 on the First Lotto number to be Odd with One bookie, and the other €800 on the First number to be Even with the other bookie, surprisingly both his bets were accepted straight away by both bookies with no referral to the 'Team leader'. He knows that whatever the outcome he will lose €133.33. Obviously One bet wins and returns €1466.66 which he withdraws from the bookie in to his new bank account and plus the €133.33 left overs, his funds are now at a very 'Clean' €1600. Now he knows that he is marked as a 'Mug' punter with the 2 bookies and time to start the game !

On Sunday morning both bookies request verification of his identity with a utility bill and photo I.D. Gerry had already thought about this, and had thought of photo-shopping Tommy's photo on his driver's license, but he thought that somehow that just might make the Scam illegal if he used a phoney drivers license, which was the last thing he wanted, so he emailed off Tommy's driver's license and utility bill photos in full to the bookies hoping that Tommy could take the 'Heat' when all this was over.

On Monday morning Gerry receives his verification from both bookies and with €1600 in his bank account he lodges €800 in to each of them and sets about his business, he finds some nag at Southwell at Evens and has €400 on him with each bookie, then he sees a Premier league match on telly that night with the home team as Evens favourite and has another €400 with both bookies on them. All his bets are accepted by both bookies without question.
The nag at Southwell loses but the Premier league team won, so Gerry's stake money remains at €1600, he withdraws the €1600, €800 from each bookie in to his new Tommy bank account.

Gerry keeps all his transactions written down on a notepad, his bank transactions and all his bets fer his twin brother Alfred financing the Scam to inspect. But he only wrote in the bet details after the bets had been settled, which gave him some Leeway.

It's Tuesday morning and Gerry woke up more hungover than usual but he pushed himself out of the pit in the knowledge that the Scam had to run, he was up and on the puter within 10 minutes and found Two Even money chances running at Kelso and Kempton, he lodged €800 in to each bookie account and had €400 on each of them with each bookie to clear his bank account to Zero, and he went off back to bed.

He woke mid-afternoon to see the First horse had won at Kelso and he watched the Second race at Kempton on some Live streaming service to see the Second horse also win, both had won at odds-on but he was On both at Evens.

So it was a big thought fer him and he took a good few hours to mull it over but Gerry decided to 'Doctor the Books', it was already in his head, it was just doing it was the problem.

Gerry had laid out €1600 in total on the day and had won €1600 which he had withdrawn from the bookie accounts back in to his new Tommy account now showing at €3200. He knew himself that he was going to 'Do the Dirt' at some stage and today he reckoned was to be the start of it. He withdrew €1600 from his new Tommy account back into his own personal account and wrote the bet details in his notepad as One of the winners as a Loser, leaving the new Tommy account with just €1600 in it.

The next day he had similar bets but this time he took advantage of the minimal new account Free bet offers from the bookies just to avoid suspicion from them, he placed them all on various 3 number Lotto bets just to get rid of them and continued with backing anything at Even money or thereabouts, both his selections got beaten that day and he texted Alfred to tell him that his funds were gone, but he had laid out a good few Grand in the last few days that he could do chargebacks on.

Alfred called to him the next day to inspect the notebook and after doing so gave Gerry another Grand in cash. Alfred did everything he could in cash with no trails left behind. Gerry lodged the cash in person with his usual Covid facemask on into his new Tommy account in the bank and then set about his business, he found Two nags at about Evens at Uttoxeter and Ascot and went to have €250 on each of them with each bookie. When he opened his Spoilsports account his balance read as €4,500, 'How de Fook is tha ?' thought Gerry, he went into his betting history on the SpoilSports website to see that One of the Free Tenner bets he had placed on 3 numbers in the Lotto had actually Won @ 450/1 !.

Gerry immediately withdrew the €4,500 into his Tommy account and then transferred it into his own personal account with no mention of it at all in his notebook, and then set about having his daily bets on the Two nags.
