Electric gates wiring

My house was built about 8 years ago and wiring was put in for electric gates but never connected. Now I want to get electric gates but don’t know where the wiring is at the gate.

I can see the fuse box section for electric gates, the interior fake plate for the intercom but can’t find where the wire ends at the gate. I don’t have the electricians contact details anymore who worked on the house.

Where would best place to find these and would installer easily locate these? I’m hoping the lawn won’t need to be dug up

Hi, don’t know if it’s any help but out wires run from the garage trip switch out along by the driveway underground , to an electrical box mounted on the back of the entrance wall. Now I don’t know much bout electric gates but I assume they all have this electrical box, wires then go from the electrical box to the motors at the base of both the pillars. Basically the wires run from the garage and take the shortest route to the entrance wall. So I would see which entrance wall is closest to your electrical source and maybe root around the base of that wall.

The wire should be either in a duct or armour coated so don’t be afraid to poke around. Can u see where the wire leaves the garage or wherever it’s coming from.

Thanks for the reply. All I can remember is it was wired in the middle of the driveway but I can’t locate where the wire ends near the wall (if it’s even by the wall).

There should also be wires (or at least a duct) under the driveway to power the second gate.
