    Hi,

I’m looking at opening a joint demand deposit account and wondering whether we can both set up a direct debit from our own current accounts?

    Hi,

    Hi There,

Thanks for checking in with us here.

With this type of account, it would be a standing order you set up from the current account to the demand deposit account.

Yes, you can have each separately set up a standing order on the current account to credit the new account.

When logged in on the App, to set up a standing order, select Payments at the bottom and then Standing Orders.

When applying for the account, you will receive an SMS with the new account information within a few business days and this can then be added for viewing online. You will also have the option to transfer with the account providing the joint account has been made repayable to either within the initial application. When logged in on App, you can select Services and then add account option. It will appear online within 5-7 business days.

Hoping you find the above useful,

    Many thanks,
    Alison
