Has anyone else got into Facebook jail? I have twice for saying to someone See you next Tuesday. Oddly others have said the same term but haven't. How is that?

They seem to be slow responding to racist comments.

Are people still willfully participating in that data mining exercise?

I thought it was for boomer Karens and Chads who love Doris Day and chevvies.

Or people who identify as Irish flags.

Doesn't that mean millions are gonna get sent to 'facebook jail' lol. People don't exactly have a great track record of getting on :p

Theyre such an inconsistent bunch of ****, they remove and jail users for simple nonsense reasons and chose to leave others who make criminal comments. I reported an arsehole who commented on a news article about checkpoints during the restrictions who said that an RPG rocket would be a good way to deal with Gardaí on checkpoints. Now I know the same arsehole wouldn't know one end of an RPG from the other and even then wouldn't have the brains to use one or acquire one however it was a threatening remark and FB decided it didn't go against their community standards. The mind boggles.

The only people I have on Facebook are actual friends and family plus the odd acquaintance from life, gym etc... I’m not bothering about what anybody actually posts there, if some dose is just taking up space on my newsfeed arguing and being confrontational it’s good luck, delete ...

A friend of mine is a comedian and he shared a screenshot of some Brexit page where they were asking everyone to change their profile pic to a picture of the "union jack" to protest the sea border or something.

I commented under it, "Ignorant Brits, it's only the union jack when it's on a ship". Got banned for a month. Now if i'd gone into their group with the intention to antagonise them, i'd sort of understand a ban, but it was only on my friends page. It's a shambles.

I've been on Boards for 17 years, and in all that time I've received 2 yellow cards, once for describing an idiot as an idiot, and I can't remember what the other one was, but it would have been a minor infraction too. I've never been banned or sanctioned on any other platform, and I'm well able to engage in a robust discussion.

If you can't engage with other human beings without being banned for contravening basic rules of decency, the problem is likely with you rather than anyone or anything else.

    That was a bit harsh.

Facebook jail is just a sleepy grumpy cat and a passive assertive guard with his hat over his face "resting his eyes"

Facebook prison well now boy howdy there the pits of hipster dickbag hell await thee it is a circular quasi non secular gender fluid adult animated online celshaded limited series about your worst nightmares and yes the critics are imaginary anthropomorphic robot koala bears that just don't give a damn.

This reminds me of that thread "Y'know when you get a black eye from the bouncer, yeah?..", or whatever it was called.

No?! I would say a tiny proportion of facebook users have ever been thrown into Facebook Prison. Everyone I know seems to use it to watch local funerals and share pictures of missing dogs in Croydon or Ohio, despite living in a village outside a village in the Irish midlands.

I think if people are going to argue on Facebook they should do it on an alt account. That sh1t shows up on everyone else's Timeline when we...they... are after more uplifting content, like live funerals.

There was once a thread on laying pavements in Dublin and I got a red card for saying "Laying pavements is a lot like a woman, lay her right the first time and you can walk all over her for the rest of your life"

I subsequently updated the "woman" to a more politically correct "life partner" but just checked and the red card is still on the post. A horrific blemish on my record and one that I hope doesn't surface when I run for public office

I done facebook prison for a week for calling the newly resigned ex first minister of the North a mongo, and the fact of who she was had nothing to do with it, it was the word mongo, now I'm an oul fart and this was a very popular word when I was a chizzler, but apparently its a no go now

This disillusionment of faux power over people by these police is perhaps a mental health issue. They online 24/7 whacking out cards, warnings etc. The state of their mental health can’t be good.
They need to turn off the WiFi, open the curtains and get some light and fresh air.

Thought it was Facebook software that picked it up? Spell it slightly different and you get away with it.
