    Hi can anyone recommend a company to do insulation for me they have to be registered with seai and in Galway area?

    SEAI have an approved list of contractors available on their website. If you are looking for a grant you must use one of those.

    You could buy insulation do it yourself.
    It could work out cheaper than paying someone to do the donkey work.

    TJ O'Mahoney have an offer at present.
    I did not avail of it as I don't need that much.

    I bought the 200mm rolls.

    Plan to lift old 100mm.
    Replace with 200mm.
    Re lay the old 100mm (right angles) across the 200mm

    Current sitting on a truck in Gort (I hope).

    Waste of time relaying the existing insulation.

    Probably but otherwise I need a skip bag to get rid of it.

    So even a miniscule benefit is better than none and an added cost of disposal.

    If its old fibreglass I would remove it, its horrible stuff to have in your house, especially if you are putting it back on top!
