Thread title is not a typo, Have an Auris going in for NCT on Thursday. Turn signal indicator on dash intermittently stops working on one side, although there is an audible tick when indicator is on. Will it fail on account of this? Rather not replace instrument cluster as you can imagine

Are all indicator lights on the car working? Put the hazard lights on and see that all are working, usually it's a bulb out that causes it.

Did you check the NCT manual to see if it's mentioned?

Very rare for instruments to fail on a Toyota. Whichever side is intermittently not working, I would replace all 3 indicator bulbs on that side of the car as a starting point

I did, But its not very clear.
    From Handbook:

    Tell Tale (lights or
    audible indicator)
    Reason for failures
    Tell-tale is missing.
Indicator tell-tale is not working or faulty.

If all the bulbs outside work then just test car and hope they don't fail you for it.
It would be a visual retest anyway.
