Reusing old fence panels for a compost bin

I’ve some old fence panels, pressure treated but not stained/painted, that I’d like to reuse by making a compost bin out of them. The panels are from approx 2008.
I’ve also read in a few places online that this sort of wood shouldn’t really be near anything growing in case whatever chemicals are in the wood leech into the surroundings. Does anyone have any advice?
