Ground conditions only improving here yet but meant to possibly be some rain coming on Tuesday, was thinking of spreading a light coat of 18:6:12 on some grazing ground (I bag to an acre) and then cleaning off green rushes off it before the rain comes....rushes not that strong but want to keep them in check better this year.
Would be using disc mower to clean them off....would spinning of the disc mowers ‘rescatter’ the fertiliser granules iykwim or would it be ok to do so.

Would rather spread the fertiliser first as if I cleaned off the fields first the fertiliser granules might end up lying on top of stronger lumps of rushes after and get baked by the Sun tomorrow and Monday.

    Thanks for anyone’s thoughts today.

I'd say work away, even if it does scatter fertiliser a bit it'll still be in the field and balance out again anyway as in the scattered fertiliser will be replaced with other scattered fertiliser.

I doubt if the mower would affect it much anyway.

Drive on. I always spread the fertiliser first and then top afterwards if required.
