I took a phone call in my parked car and i had the aircon on the whole time. I lost track of time and after about 45 mins chatting the power cut out and i had to open the door for cool air. Tried turning the engine but nothing rolled over. Left it 10 mins and it was still the same, just a chuggy sound. Left it half hour and then it started again so i drove around for another 15 mins to keep the battery going.
My question is, have i now screwed up the battery or weakened it so that i may need a new one? The battery is 2 yrs old and never once did this until today. It did start again when i tried it after my short journey but im worried i may have caused internal damage and it may cut out
again. I dont know much about cars so please take that into account in your replies- thanks!

Looks like you just depleted the battery, its probably fine and won’t happen again. Just make sure to give it a good drive or let it idle in your garden for an hour to recharge it. Keep some jump leads in the boot and if the problem persists then considering replacing the battery/investigating further
