Home Office - mesh or wired?

Current set-up - I have decent vodafone broadband with decent wireless throughout our (small - 100sqm) house. The wifi router is at front door.
The telly is at back of house. I am currently using a tp-link extender for the Freesat machine at telly (freesat box doesn't have wireless, so it is wired to the tp-link) while the telly just connects wirelessly to the main router and has plenty of speed for HD netflix without a bother.

Issue: I am adding a home office at back of garden (25 metres from back of house) and want a good internet connection, including wifi. The current wifi from router at front of house is detectable at the back of garden but is weak and not dependable.

I am getting an electrician to extend electric cable from house to site of home office, and install fusebox etc anyway.

Option no. 1 is to get the electrician to wire for connection points in the home office, and run internet cable from house to home office. I presume I then have to add a second router, and have to switch between wifi SSIDs when i go from house to office.

Option no. 2 is Google Mesh (3 points: router, tv and home office, which would allow the Freesat to be wired to second point, and mean home office and all garden would have good wifi).

Are there any strong reasons to go for 1 or 2 above? If this was you, which wouldyou go for? All advice appreciated.

    1. no need for second router, just switch and AP(access point).

For best performance get both - even "mesh" will work much better if Ethernet backhaul introduced.
Once at it, get sparky to run multiple CAT links.

    Hi

Change your service from vodafone, I have never dealt with such inept, untrained individuals in my life.

They have cancelled my broadband service three times before I even got it installed.

The support team although very welcoming and well mannered, they are completely untrained in how to manage customers.

They are very good at putting you on hold.

Be prepared to loose hours of your life trying to deal with them.

    STAY CLEAR OF VODAFONE

Not what the OP was asking. Why are you even posting here?
