Timing chain replaced

    How much do you reckon it should cost to get a timing chain replaced on a Skoda Octavia 2015?

    Just looking for a ball park figure so i dont get ripepd off?

    I think the octavia uses a timing belt, which would be cheaper than replacing a chain as a timing chain is inside the engine. I'd say have around €450-500 put aside for timing belt kit and water pump, maybe €650-750 through main dealer

    Was quoted 350 for a '11 superb by a VAG specialist. Belt,pump,tensioner and coolant. That was about 4 weeks ago.
