    Hi all,
    I'm looking to measure my hallway for a new floor,
    Am I correct in thinking;
    I should measure it in two separate sections,
    #1 the narrow section between stair case and living room,
    Then
    #2 the square section inside the front door

    Then add them together for the total which rules out the area consumed by the stairs?

    what about the piece visible under the stairs, also allow some % for waste if laminate or tiles etc

    Thanks I've measured in that section too,
    Going for laminate flooring plan to order an extra box just incase it's required, if not required and still sealed most places will accept it back.

    It's an idea to consider keeping at least a few lengths in the attic in case you ever had a bad scratch and you could just replace a section.....

    Thanks for the tip,
    I've ordered the flooring today and added an extra box to have in storage; incase a radiator valve should ever leak or something bounces down the stairs taking a lump out of a section,
    Even my electricity bill or bank statement when dropped through the letterbox #bahDoosh

    might be a good time to consider an inset mat .

    Nice idea and practical but not to my taste as the area is quite small;
    I've relocated and replaced the radiator to a tall variant (with a coat hanging bracket on top)

    to create the appearance of more space aswell as having a mantle made for the wall instead of having a hall table,

    In my case; integrating a Matt will bring the space closer together again.
    The are practical; my parents have them in there houses lol houses as apposed to parents house; modern families these days lol

    I've also painted the wall where the radiator pipes are inside; with a sample pot of red paint to be sure there's no nails driven there when fitting skirting boards which will cover the red completely
