You will get a kick from watching Stargate Atlantis... and the different pronunciation of acronym ZPM from the Americans and Canadians.

Just rattled off the alphabet in my head, z rhymes with v, just sounds right, though I’ve heard of zed too, I never thought much about it.

‘erbs though, or an ‘otel... onvelope just about gets a pass, the other two are really grating.

    EDIT: I’ve just realised - d, g, p, v...

And W is the only letter in the alphabet that’s two syllables.

This might be an over reaction, but how about we round up all those who say Zee and have them sent to Siberia?

We would also have accepted "tell me what you think of me"

    And now

    zee is for girls

    zed is for boys

Now lets have no more debate about the matter:)

    Oh, and it's obviously zed.

Irish have a weird way to pronounce R too - "Or" where most other places it's "Are". Not so much on broadcast platforms, but in general usage.

That's the power of America in Ireland.
Even when they pronounce two letters in the alphabet the same Irish people are lapping it up and change from a good way to a worse way to do things.

I'm not a Yank so zed.

And, as a Swedish person, how do you pronounce it?

I pronounce the letter A as Ay. But I pronounce the word A as Ah.

    Ay Bee Cee Dee

Agreed, I guess you mean cee & zee which sound almost identical. I like our zed just as it is, plus it can't be confused with the letter c.

I see Zee is doing well in the poll, better than I expected

So a Zedbra is a thing now? Idiots.

Following your logic than you would read what you wrote above as follows:

    Ess-oh ah Zed-e-dee-bee-or-ah eye-ess ah Tee-haich-eye-en-gee en-oh-double -you?
    Eye-dee-eye-oh-tee-ess.

Above of course is a poor attempt at phonetics but that's roughly how would would speak if every letter was pronounced in a word as how it's pronounced in the alphabet.

Clearly it doesn't work that way.

    So it's Zed,
