Holes around sockets and under sills

    Hey folks,

Not a DIYer at all but hoping with some advice from the experts here, I'll be able to tackle the few bits below.

I am attaching pictures and just wondering what the best approach to both issues is. Or if there is a solution that will work for both situations. There are a number of sills with varying sizes of gaps but the attached is probably the biggest.

    Thanks,

    Coff66

    Decorators caulk for the sills.

    Polyfilla for the sockets.

    Thanks.

Is it just a case of packing them in until the holes are filled and sand down to smooth and they can be painted directly?

Small bits using the edges to cling leave to dry fill again then assess and sand. Yes paint directly.

Ya, and don't mix the filler too watery the first time you fill it, it should be kind of a doughy texture, so it will stay in the hole. For the first one or two fills anyway.

Thanks for those bits of advice. That's the exciting part of my Easter weekend sorted.
