Anyone know if the Dulux Moda range of paints was discontinued? Cant see it on either Woodies or B&Q websites, I know B&Q definitely stocked the range as I bought there before

Saw a load of it in the discontinued aisle in homebase on Sunday (naas road). They had loads of it

Nice one Alkers, I thought something was up when I couldnt find it on B&Q and Woodies websites. Will check out Homebase instead.

I wonder what happened it, theres some nice colours in the range and Id thought it would be around for a bit.

thanks for the link but unfortunately Lenehans seem to be out of the colour Im after (French Mist). Hopefully Homebase have stock but their website isnt up to date and they're not answering their phone either.

Hadnt expected it to be discontinued at all given the marketing push Dulux put on the Moda range but at least theres a good chance I can get what I need before it is gone altogether.

At the end of the day you could always go to the likes of Pat McDonnell and get it made up. I find the coverage from the paints they make up far better anyway. We have French Mist in our hallway coincidentally and its a lovely colour.

Didnt know I could just get it made up, that puts my mind at ease now. I did the downstairs in November and just continuing on with the upstairs now so wanted to continue the same colour upstairs for the stairways and landings.

Would they need a RAL code or something or is the name of it enough info for them?

They can make any colour and they have a book to match against usually you bring in a sample . I think it's best done to paint two coats on a white sheet of paper and they will match to that.

Usual rules apply finish existing in a corner and start with fresh paint on the next wall don't swap over in the middle

Just to add I've seen massive variance in mixed colours from two tins mixed one after the other in the same store. There's variance between some batches in off the shelf paints too but I've never seen anything overly perceptible

Yeah it's generally very good practice to paint the entire room from one batch . If OP can get his hands on tubs of Moda french mist that should be option no.1 . Only consider the colour being made up as a backup.
