Hi my wife and i will be married 4yrs this June and we never changed to joint assessed. I'm earning up to 42k depending on commision and wife earns 17k. Can I fill out the assessable spouse form, put myself down as the main spouse, and add letter to access previous 4yrs. Can this be back dated if we were due anything back. Is there an option online to add in cover letter of some sort?
