Peugeot 207 failed because bump stops were missing on rear. I have the parts and have located the hole they push into. It's obvious they won't push in with my strength alone. Any tips ?

I can't see picture, but have you tried setting them with soapy water?

Just to update. I was over complicating things. Some Wd40 and pushing them down while using a screwing motion and they popped into place without much effort in the end!
