    Hi,

There is an unused oil tank in my back garden from a change from oil to gas in the house. It isn’t in use or connected to anything, there is some oil in it. I’m wondering what the process for removing it and disposing off it. I’m assuming I need to get someone licensed to do it.

Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I apologise if this is the wrong place

If you contact the local authority environmental department, they should be able to put you in touch with someone. Your local oil company will also have contact details.

Have you tried selling it? Plenty on Donedeal and Adverts for sale.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
