I bought above this morning and found it to work as expected and would like to keep it.
However after pumping up a wheel I fitted the short tube attachment for blowing dirt out of stuff. There's a nice (but short lived, few seconds) blast from it.
After turning off the switch on the compressor, I could hear air escaping from the end of the unit. I hadn't noticed this when pumping the wheel.

Is this just a port and part of the design, to stop the compressor being put away with air pressure in it, or is it a fault?

Anyone else bought one and could check for me please?

There is usually a valve on the bottom of the cylinder which you open when finished using it to allow the remaining air out and prevent condensation inside - is this where the air is coming from?

Thanks, but there is no access to anything without opening the screws (about 12) holding the whole thing together.

No bother. Thanks for trying to help.

BTW so much for the Dublin number phone line on the compressor label. All it is is a recording directing you to their UK service website. What's that about, trying to give the impression that Irish buyers are supported in Ireland I suppose.

Thanks Cerco. That big Aussie guy (youtube) thought it was a fault also and opened it op to find it was designed that way.
