Diesel engine service question

Hi. Just got a MK3 focus 1.6tdci 95hp with over 170k kms. Going to do a full service on it and going to pick up the bits this morning.

From reading the MK3 doesn't seem to have the same sludging issue as the MK2. Is it advisable to use an engine flush or not. If so any particular one recommend?

Getting a good price on the oil from the local Ford garage. But they are more expensive than the local auto parts for oil/air/fuel/pollen filters. Should I consider getting any of these filters from Ford, oil filter maybe?

I'm not a fan of these cleaners or additives. I had a car a while back and when the oil that came out wasn't great I just did two oil changes in quick succession and it was grand again.

For me, see what state the current oil is in and go from there.

Got a great price for Ford oil and filter at €40.

I need to get antifreeze to do a timing kit change. Would I be best to get the ford antifreeze instead of another brand. €36 for ford vs €20 for another pink brand that doesn't state ford spec?

Was thinking spurious air and pollen filter will be grand. What about fuel filter. Good idea to go with a genuine Ford one?

If you can afford to stay with genuine main dealer parts I would . Especially as it's your first service on that car . I generally stay with main dealer for oil filter and brake pads also . Good luck .

Yeah, it's first service and timing kit. So I think probably best to get the ford fuel filter and long life antifreeze to go with the ford oil and oil filter I have. I don't think genuine air and pollen filters are as important?
