Actually broke the springs in one today and need to replace. Where would one start looking for these?

Depends what type of handles you are looking for.
A photo of what you want would give a better chance of a reply.
Otherwise try Amazon, Screwfix or your local hardware.
If you are in south Co. Dublin you could try Interlock in Cabinteely.

DoorHandles.ie seems to have full replacement locks if that's what you need?

I'm just wondering if they're the best to go for!

Knobs and knockers in deansgrange have a good selection, beside bakers pub.

Pre Brexit I got handles from Ironmongery Direct in UK as I couldn't source exactly what I was looking for here.

Last time I checked, Woodies had a decent selection.

I have had a few broken handle springs and I just replaced the springs with those from old handles (I keep the old ones). If you can't buy separate springs then just buy a really cheap handle of the same type as yours and use its spring.

Sometimes if the spring breaks near one of its ends, you can bend the broken end to match what was there previously.

Same happened here last week. As a solution I switched the dodgy handle on one door for one from another and all it needs is the spring to work on one handle.

    I find Murphy Larkin decent.

Bought these from AliExpress about two weeks ago. They look good and they have different types.

    Not sure your location, but

BW Hardware - Airton Road, Tallaght
    Proline Architectural - Inchicore

    Used both before and recommend.
