If somebody on disability allowance inherits money and buys a house or flat, would this be considered a primary residence and so be exempt from the capital means test?

It will be means tested for the period of time between when they inherit it and actually buy the house. Once the money has been paid out of your account you ask for your means to be reassessed.

Why all the different threads and different boards accounts? You could ask all your questions in one thread.
