Hi I am looking at purchasing a site locally. My family own agricultural land close by the site that ghat would probably be deemed suitable to build on but it's not an option for me. Had anyone been through similar? Will it make it harder for me to get planning on the purchased site? Thanks

Yeah sorry I know that part. I mean does it decrease my chances of getting planning on that site. It's the wasted time I'm thinking about.

I wouldnt see any major issues so long as you dont own any other land or house anywhere. It is a bonus to be looking for permission to build on the family farm though. Check the rural housing policies in the development plan for your county. Should be available online.
