    “Global” pandemic

    “Ramp up”

    “Roll out”

The worst by a mile, only wet pubs come close in my opinion.......”staycation”

I wouldn't mind staycation if it was used for its original meaning, trips you make from your home. Using it for a holiday in Ireland downplays the fact you can have a very good holiday without going abroad.

It's not so much a phrase but I hate the influx of very angry posters to this site, particularly noticeable post Oct 2020.

Almost all rational debate on C19 has been drowned out by this cohort.

If we must have a phrase, " the 'rona" grinds my gears.

    Open up everything...as some suggest.

'New variants' 'stay safe' two pet hates of mine.
On a side note people really have become intolerant of the opinions of others.

Nothing new there, doesn't matter if there is pandemic or not.

What's new is those imposing the restrictions are protected from financial loss themselves by virtue of having tax payer funded jobs and pensions.

There's only one phrase I can't stand anymore, and it's also only one word long

    Gamechanger

Everything is a gamechanger, from banning household visits to the AstraZenneca vaccine but there is no gamechanger that ever seems to be enough to make any real change. The word has been used way too often without any real change happening and everytime I hear it now it just makes me lose all credibility in whoever says it

Nope. As Leo Varadkar said last October when Nphet wanted to impose a national lockdown, they won't be on the PUP tomorrow.

Still there's nothing new or different.

It is new, but off topic regarding this thread so that's me done with it.

"I'm afraid social distancing will be with us for some time to come"

Usually with a patronizing smirk and almost always in response to claims that vaccines will result in (gasp) vaccination.
