Selling a banger

got an old car, NI REG, only fit for running around the lanes of farms but few young guys wanted to buy, plates are removed.
not sure to sell or not as dont want it coming back to bite me, what would you do

Judgement call.

You'd feel bad if someone was hurt, but that being said, if they don't get your car, they'll find one somewhere else.
I had thought it might not be legal to sell a car to a minor, but I can't find anything to support that.

i was thinking that but anyone know for sure, it be trailered away

Car is NI reg so it won’t be connected to the OP at all. No need to transfer ownership

I could take a picture of his driving licence to prove he is 18 JUST TO BE SURE

The legal age to drive is 17, why would it matter if he is underage? I bought a car when I was 16

I'm not sure thats true. In some countries it is an offense to sell a car that's not roadworthy.
In ireland I don't know, I recall a case where a Ford Mondeo was sold to young lads but it wasnt road worthy, I can't recall the ramifications for the seller but someone was killed.
It is illegal to sell a ni reg car in the south.

I wouldn't sell to young lads and the more people like me the harder it is for them to get their hands on a car.

Not worth the hassle. If its on NI plates, you cannot do official ownership change so not worth the hassle.
Id crush it before id have a gang of young lads running around in it.
