Kitchen cabinet hinge issue

Have a kitchen cabinet hinge that will no longer fit snugly into the recess in the door likely due to too much stuff shoved into the press and the door closed over regardless. The door part of the hinge just pops out of the recess and has nothing to grip any more.

Any recommendations for a fix to this issue, an adhesive that will bond between the wood and the metal enough to continue using the door?

What holds the hinge into the door?

Is there a clip or some screws? When you take the hinge out, is the hole in the door out of shape?

You could drill a new hole with a forstner bit and move the hinge up/down to suit.
Really depends how far gone the current setup is.

Is it one of the hinges that was just push-fit into the door? I had a similar issue, I just replaced the hinge with one that screwed onto the door (the size of the recess is the same), and it worked fine.

A photo to better illustrate the issue.

glue dowels in to the screw holes in the door. when dry, cut the dowels flush and use normal cabinet screws to reattach the hinge

Is there another unit fitted beside this one - if so, longer screws, job done.

If you never want it to come lose.

Get some tech 7 and stick it for good. Will bond to everything and the wood will give before it does

That’s the actual door in the picture.

    This.

Alternatively, take off the insert nuts (the pieces that would have been in the door originally) and epoxy them into the door. Reattach hinge once it's dry.

I must have been half asleep as i thought it was the frame side. It clearly the door from the photo.
Id build the timber in the screw holes up by bonding in some dowels or homemade plugs and fit door with short woodscrews.
