    Hi,

I asked this in legal discussion regarding Clamping. Maybe the motor forum can help.

Has any person been charged with removing a clamp without interfering with it, ie without damaging it in any way. In a public or private parking area.

    Regards

My understanding from the 7,412 threads there have been on this, is that with a local authority clamp, its essentially a ticket so yes you can be charged (same as non payment). For a private rent-a-clamp company, they cannot really pursue you as there's no regulation of this sector, though they might try.

    *This is not legal advice

    Thanks trailerbob.

Since the new regulations came into effect I have not seen any data. That is why I am looking for atleast a case to see the findings.

    Regards
