School suspension records

    Hi All,

    just some quick questions in terms of school suspension records. How long do they stay on your record. How do you access them and would they show up on a Garda vetting form?

    No they wouldn't show up on a Garda vetting form.

    Schools clear out old files periodically. I know when I was doing ours I just kept the enrolment card and State exam results in each file once a person had left.

    Probably not even allowed officially keep them now, but we often had people who were gone 15-20 years out of school looking for an official record of their Leaving or Inter/Junior/Group.
