I got a price of 220 for a cubic metre with 45 min driver wait time. Would anyone know if that is the going rate now? Seems on the steep side. Cheers

    Where are you located?

    That price is way OTT.

I'm in Dublin 22, just called the one place for a quote. Wanted to see if that was way off. Not sure the price I should be looking for? Will be looking for pretty much a M3

For 1m3 its not so a mad price as the callout for the truck down here is 80, then more $ for distance from site and wait time before you add in the actual m3
the 220 sounds like they didn't want it really, easier to take the PUP

As I posted in this thread from 2018....

    https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057855135

...I paid Roadstone 170 euros for a very small amount. That was a price I'd got by going into the desk, and when I called up to confirm the order the man was surprised that they'd quoted so low.

So I don't think 220 is that low.

Also from the end of that thread...

You can get mini mix trucks that hold around 3 m3 if you ask the guy when he'd be in the area with a part load they can often deliver a small amount.

Ties in with other advice I've read about using smaller suppliers with leftovers, if you're flexible about timing of delivery.

Cheers for the replies. Seems to be in and around what's expected so. The 220 is still cheaper than renting a mixer and buying materials separately, let alone the time saved.
