    Hi All,
Looking for recommendations for restaurant or hotel near Dublin Registry office in grand canal. The only place I know is The Schoolhouse.
I’m going on the basis that will be 8 of us.
    Thanks

Is the hotel off Baggot Street open? The Dylan?

    Or the Marker?

There's the hotel that houses the Galway Bay bar that used to be called The Gasworks...

I think it might be called the Grand Canal Hotel or something. It's across the road from the dart station.

We had our post registry office meal in Brookwood, on Baggot Street Lower. It was about 5mins in a taxi, or 15mins to walk. Food was lovely and what really sold it for us was the private room, which fit our group perfectly (we had 11). There was no extra charge for it either (in 2019 at least). It's a great room for a small group and lets you have that privacy without being swamped in a space meant for bigger numbers.

Would highly recommend. Staff were very accommodating also.

Oh interesting. Thanks for the reply. I’ve never heard of Brookwood. Will check it out.

We had ours in the schoolhouse and it was lovely, that was 11 years ago though so I'm not sure what it's like now.

By the canal and supposed to be excellent. Private dining room I think too. Have never been but on the list.
