Brand New Lenovo Ideapad 3 - Appalling Speakers or Settings Issue?

Hey Guys,

Bought a brand new Lenovo Ideapad 3 having been using a Lenovo Ideapad 320S for the past few years and been having a bit of difficulty recognizing or understand a potential quality issue or settings issue in that the speakers on my old 320S were absolutely fantastic altogether, always were and the new Ideapad 3 that I have just bought, the speakers seem to be absolutely appalling altogether.... as in like, they sound like two bloody mono speakers on an old Nokia phone or something.

Cannot understand whether this is a settings issue that I am not recognizing or whether this is just the case of their quality. I would have expected the speakers on the new device to match those of the 320S that I have been using for years but they don`t even come close to being on par.

I`ve went through every sound settings I can find on the machine but nothing improves it and even checked for driver updates which it doesn`t need.

Any thoughts?? Settings issue to just terrible quality speakers?

The Lenovo IdeaPad 3’s speakers are, you may gave guessed, pretty poor. They have the thin, bass-free sound typical of your average budget laptop.

I`m finding it next to impossible to find a spec sheet for my old Idepad 320S as it`s a discontinued model. I had wanted to see the spec comparison of the 3 vs 320S but can only find the spec sheet for the 3 on the web.

Wanted to compare the speaker specs with the two. Overall, I am stunned by the difference in build quality also between the ideapad 3 and 320S. It is night and day and I really thought on purchase it would be of at least similar quality but the ideapad 3 is an absolute plastic build and seriously lacks the same build quality as the 320S. The 320S has a fairly supreme feel in terms of tactile feedback on the keyboard, materials used, screen quality ect...The 3....well...I think you get the picture...

that's why it can be worth spending another 100 to 150 euro on a metal chassis build and overall much better laptop (ips screen, better speakers, keyboard etc) tbh

over 5 years or more it will pay the difference back easily imo
