Connecting vertical rads

    Hi all,

My plumber has gone AWOL and I need to get a couple of vertical rads up and running. I got them up on the walls this evening and will connect up pipes tomorrow. They are copper pipes, what do I use to cut these? I’ve only cut the flexy pipes before

Also, are there any particular types of valves I need to buy/use for the installation?

When I’m installing is there any particular order that I connect the pipes or does it matter?

    Copper is always best.
    A word of caution..
A lot of vertical radiators must be orientated correctly.
This means to check that they are not upside down and that the flow and return from the heating circuit are the right way around, otherwise they won't work properly. Details should come with the radiators.

And yes, I have had to rectify vertical radiators installed incorrectly by others.
