I heard some hilarious excuses over my school years but the most memorable one for me was "Why didnt you do your homework?" "I was minding me brother's power tools" Safe to say we never let him live it down ever since.

Our Pitbull got hold of my school bag and destroyed it ,

Fell in the fire trying to dry it after water got spilt on it ,

Found out I was adopted ,

The dog had puppies on it ,

Left it in a museum ,

Stolen from a car,

The list goes on famously wrote every note from my parents to schools from 6 th class to 6 th year until one teacher mentioned letters in a parent teacher meeting unrelated to school work

We never had a dog either
