    Hello,

I am  looking to replace my Pioneer Home Cinema system (which has suddenly stopped working) with a decent AV receiver/amp and a set of 5.1 speakers. I would appreciate any input on this. My budget for both amp and speakers is around 600-700 Euro for the lot.

    Hi shazzerman,

    Thanks for the post!

Around that budget i would recommend starting with the Yamaha RXV4A 5.1 amp. It sound incredible, has a great variety of streaming features and also has Musiccast built in so you can add more Yamaha Musiccast devices into your system as you go!

For the speakers I would go with the Polk TL1600. The Polk speakers sound great. They make really good sound bars and home cinema systems and they would be a great upgrade over the Pioneer system you have:

These would bring you a bit over budget at 798 euro but would give a great step up system over the Pioneer!

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David

They look to be exactly what I need. It is a bit out of my price range - is there any wiggle room on that price?

Thanks for getting back to me!

Unfortunately the euro pricing is already reduced to a good bit below the sterling so the euro prices would be the best I have at the moment. That would include shipping as well though.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards
