Apologies if it's wrong forum... I'm on DA anxiety depression. I have a BA degree in Business/Hospitality.. I would like to attempt to try some part time work the 20hrs anything to get me out of the house which is already driving me nuts with covid

Perhaps someone with experience can point me to the right place where to look agency etc?.I tried Indeed with not much success, it's a bit disheartening to be honest

Thanks for help a PM or reply here would be much appreciated

Ask for an appointment with a case officer to be referred to your nearest employability service. Have you any work experience at all? You may have to dumb down your CV for the likes of shop jobs etc if it is a low stress job you are looking for. The hospitality sector has basically shut up shop for the time being because of COVID if it’s bar/restaurant jobs you are interested in. I found working voluntarily in a local charity shop helped bridge the gap while I looked. Charity shops have now shut as well though. I have now found a position but it’s temporary to cover staff shortages due to people having to self isolate.

Thanks for the replies....I have a case officer in Ballymun even though I'm in city centre...They also seem to have shut down, willgive ring tommorow.. I have plenty experience in customer service, administration , logistics...At this point I won't mind working as cleaner, warehouse etc.. No shame in downgrading a job is a job :)

I have applied to some agencies. I guess the best thing is not get more depressed because there is no replies straight away. Something will give In eventually :)

How about volunteering in a tourist attraction? A few hours a week can be very rewarding and give you an insight into possible career path.

My time with employability had run out and I wanted to
be re-referred. I had a phone appointment with the case officer and they posted me out a form to sign and post back to them. I found the job myself but I still found the service helpful and wanted to reengage with them.

You have the right attitude anyway so fair play! Hang in there and you will get something. It’s tough at the moment with covid - but supermarkets are busier than ever and lots are looking for part time staff - including to do deliveries if you drive.
