I need to travel to Northern Ireland

My pharmacy told me today that a medication that I rely on is not currently avaliable in Ireland due to shortage and will likely be that way for few months.

Am I allowed to travel from Dublin to the North of Ireland in order to purchase the medication?

Travel for medicine not available locally would be essential travel.
