    Hi all,

Seeing as my plans to import a nice Volvo V90 from the UK has been scarpered thanks to Brexit, i'm looking a bit close to home.

The A6 has caught my eye but i know very little about them in terms of trim.

Im looking at a 2019 model, does anyone have any suggestions as to what to look out for or what to be wary of?

Also, if anyone has any alternatives im still very much open to suggestions.

I was looking at these before, I have previous model, the c7. Don't think theres much to be wary of yet, they should all be lowish mileage and under warranty. They are nice cars, interior is fabulous in my opinion.

One thing is to look for one with decent extras, tech pack and digital speedos would be a must for me. Also, I noticed a lot don't have the kind of spec on that that a c7 would have like full leather, sunroof etc...

Most will be half leather, which may or may not be an issue for you.

Go on the configurator for a new one, see what options are available and then see if the ones you are looking for have any of them.

They are holding their value well so far in fairness, just about get a 2018 S Line one for under 40k but there may be a few of them still to hit the market soon as the 3 years is up on pcp if people go to upgrade

They are very prone to dash rattles and squeaks of all manner so make sure anything you are looking at has a nice quiet cabin.

Some are prone to rainwater getting trapped in the inner sills due to a grommit being manufacfured without a hole in it, so when pulling up to a stop, listen for a sloshing sound.

The infotainment screens can give glitches but usually just software related.

The usual EGR troubles on the diesel engines.

The sills would be an off putter for me, the rest not so much.

Most 2019's would still be under warranty though, so not too much of a need to worry i suppose.

Black edition with tech pack. I can’t for the life of me figure out why the digital instrument panel isn’t standard for a far of that standard when the new Octavia has it as standard. Also the flat bottom steering wheel is a nice edition.

Like a lot a VAG stuff so, thought Audi would be the exception. Soft touch everything and beautifully damped switch gear count for nothing if the bloody thing rattles.

Surprised to hear those comments. I've a A6 C7 ultra with 200K km (have it for three years and I rack up big mileage on it) and not a squeak from the dash or anywhere else tbf.

Always running low on Adblue is my biggest complaint.
