Another Steeltech question.

Fellas. I hope this is the correct forum for another Steeltech question.
I am trying to plan a Steetech shed type workshop. It is a few miles from home so I am not going to put in windows for security.
I really want the floor space for woodworking machinery but my present shed is crammed with the usual gardening and household stuff and I want to avoid that if possible.
Is it feasible to put a mezzanine floor to take all the junk and gardening tools etc.? My main concern is that it would block the overhead light but I could probably live with that if it only occupied about half the length of the shed.
I see industrial lifts are relatively affordable and would need one of those as well.
    Any advice welcome.

There's industrial shelving that's like a first floor. You could ask who ever supplies the lift. It's held up independently of shed structure, ie it supports its own weight. Have seen it up in industrial units housing furniture shops and gyms, no idea of cost unfortunately

Your shed foundation would need to be able to take it though...

Are you getting planning permission? I can't see you getting much useful space you'd get if you go for a planning exempt structure with a 2nd floor.

Thanks. That's a good option I even thought of a metal mesh floor to let light in. I will of course ask Steeltech - they must have been asked this before. ?

Yes . its going to be well over 25 sq metres so planning is mandatory. I'd like to put services in as well which is more money.:pac:
