That's cos Kilmer was diagnosed with throat (lung cancer?) I believe to the point of requiring a laryngectomy. He now runs an art gallery in the US, seems happy with his post - acting life. The last part I saw him in was the abomynble The Snowman from 2017. He looked rough so possibly was after the surgery.

Sounds like a tough battle for him, but looks like that diagnosis was in 2015.
Alexander and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang were 2004-2005, after that he went into theatrical roles. In terms of Hollywood box office his career ended abruptly in 2005.

    Not a bad thing.

Adam Sandler was in ‘Uncut Gems’ within the last year and half or so.

Pretty good actually (a serious movie)

If Adam Sandler did more projects like Uncut Gems, I’d happily hear from him loudly and frequently. A brilliant, unique actor on those exceedingly rare occasions when he signs up for a proper script.

    Nothing in a while?....Two words...Hubie...Halloween....

    Eugh

The annoying thing is Uncut Gems shows you he is capable of doing great things when he can be assed!

Is your google broke? He’s a multifilm contract with Netflix and has been pumping out the same movie over and over for years.

The Fly, Beetlejuice, Thelma and Louise, A League of their own....academy award thrown in amongst those...then nothing.

    Except her self titled sitcom?

Would wonder how often some of the posters here watch a film with some of the names mentioned.

There’s a lot of ‘I haven’t seen them and can’t be arsed Googling, so they must be gone’ going on.

Don’t know what happened to Steven Spielberg. He made Jaws and has barely been heard from since.

    One hit wonder :)

    Not worth watching?!

It is, unless you enjoy unfunny fart jokes, and INCREDIBLY obnoxious product placements.

And Al Pacino singing (maybe rapping iirc) about dunkin doughnuts.

I wish that was as funny as it sounds.

Ok, while today is clearly the day in my life that I am the Fountain of Knowledge on all things Jennifer Grey, let me finish with this one -

She is married to Clark Gregg, who played...

    Agent Coulson.

    Until next month

He was in the last "has fallen" film with Gerard Butler, he mumbled and growled as usual.

That was a very good movie, good enough to make me look at the previous fallen movies and realising they were sh1t

Edit: I clicked reply to your post and didn't see One Eyed Jacks post but she's starring in 911 Lone Star

Also Mira Sorvino is someone that disappeared overnight. She won an Oscar and did nothing else after that, thanks to not playing ball with Weinstein.

Sorvino was in a movie recently with Rainn Wilson. Small enough part. “Don’t tell a Soul”, wasn’t great.

Andrew McCarthy, he had a good thing going in the 1980s but didn't seem to transition from the love interest into other roles. Remember reading that he was doing a travel show in ireland or something like that

Matt Dillon seems to get sporadic roles. Definitely should be more prominent

Tobey Maguire just seemed to vanish as well.

I think his wife is Irish.

I think his wife is Irish.

Just looked that up and he does indeed and has a house in dublin. Eric stoltz has an Irish wife as well. From cootehill in cavan. Another actor that seemed to vanish after pulp fiction

Steve guttenburg, now that's a blast from the past... Hadn't seen him in years till he rocked up in ballers with the rock

    John Belushi.
Was destined to be a superstar then went and died and was never in another movie. Unbelievable.

Haven't seen Michael Madsen in anything in ages. Kill Bill 2 was probably the last time.

Get the sense he’s another “difficult” character

Tobey Maguire just seemed to vanish as well.

He took up poker playing; if you have seen Molly's Game, a character in that is based on Maguire's career left-turn.

The below has a good summary of it (warning for spoilers)
Seemed like an absolute disaster from the start.

He moved into production and director roles. Worked a lot with James Spader in the blacklist and other TV series.

    Also did some stage acting.
