Lets call a spade a spade, no more pussyfooting around. Unionism is responsible for the high figures of infected people in Ireland. We could be like New Zealand if Unionism would pull together and treat Ireland as an Island and implement a zero covid strategy.

Lets call out reality and hold them responsible for what they have actually done. Lets stop dancing around the subject.

Unionism isn't responsible for the partying in Belmullet.
While the country should have been locked down, our own people's lack of adherence to restrictions has played a huge part in the spread.

What has Ireland done to suggest that it would have taken the approach you're talking about?

The vast majority of Covid cases in the North were in mainly catholic areas. The map was shown on news line one night without explicitly saying which demographic lived there. But, if anyone watching had even a passing interest in the North, they would be aware of who was there. It was shown not long after the communions season when their numbers exploded.

The last lockdown before Christmas they had when there was a one week release and then lock again was political crap at the cost of lives. Whatever one side proposed, would be shot down by the other.

There is a policy of not wanting to appear disconnected from mainland Uk which drives a lot of lack of travel restrictions north of the border. Makes no sense when Wales and Scotland restricted those from England arriving. Don’t think it worked in practice though.

The political groups are doing the same as our shower and looking first to their political base opinions before thinking of overall lives that can be saved. Looking as the next election if you will.
