Hi, I have no broadband in my area, just my phone, I can get 4G outside but inside its mainly H+, sometimes I get a flash of 4G, is there any boosters I can buy to increase my broadband connection.

would a 4G router be good enough to watch online classes.

How long is a piece of string.

You'd need to test, and probably use an external antenna. See the thread Ten linked.

It's not really about the router alone, using a phone hotspot is pretty much the same thing except that a router can have antenna connected to increase signal reception.

It all depends on the signal level available outside. If that's good then an outdoor antenna connected to an indoor router should give the same (or better) reception as a phone outside. Upstairs indoors will have better signal than downstairs indoors.

It also depends on how classes are delivered....a prerecorded class will work fine but a live class with a few participants will need a good signal.

Try using phone hotspot in an upstairs window and see if it works OK on a wifi connected laptop.

4G LTE External Antenna (e.g. ATK MIMO SMA) cabled down to a 4G router (that has replaceable external antenna connection) fitted with a SIM card. Always choose coax cable and connecters carefully as signal loss through cable attenuation and connector reflection can be quite high - read specs. and make comparisons.

It sounds like you are in a poorly covered area so likely always connect to one mast, so a directional antenna as exampled might serve you better than one of the omnidirectional ones. You can check the details of your reception on your smartphone. If Android I suggest the app I use: "Network Cell Info - Mobile & WiFi Signal" (M2Catalyst, LLC). There are many others.
