VRT paid, now back on UK reg. How to get it back on Irish reg?

    Hi
I have an old 1994 Mercedes that was originally purchased in the UK by its previous owner, it was then brought back to Donegal and the VRT paid many many years ago.
The owner then took it back to UK and it is currently on a UK registration.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get it back onto the Irish registration ? Enquiring with the VRT office is the most obvious route to go down but will I have to pay any further charges regarding VRT ? Will the NOx be applicable to it ?

    TIA for any advice.

If the VRT wasn’t reclaimed on export you won’t be liable for VRT when you re import, Nox, Vat, Customs, I’m not so sure
