Is state pension considered a social welfare payment?

    completing a probate form and i have to fill in if my deceased mother was in receipt of any SOCIAL WELFARE PAYMENT, does the state pension come under this? and if so would the state claim number be her pps?

    Yes it is and should be declared.The Department should also have been informed of her death so that payments can stop.
